Crewe and the surrounding areas of Cheshire

The apartments are located to the west of Crewe town centre, with all the shops, coffee shops and eateries reachable on foot.

There are certainly plenty of restaurants to choose from in the local area, and convenience stores and supermarkets too, so stocking up and topping up the cupboards and the fridge/freezer in the apartment will be easy enough.

Getting Around

The apartments are close enough to Crewe town centre to make walking to many of the places of interest really easy.

The business district is also easily accessed from the apartment, which is just a 5 minute drive from Crewe railway station, which is a major junction and stop on the UK rail network, with services to many of England’s major cities including London, Manchester, Liverpool and Birmingham.

Bus services run regularly around the local area, with the bus station just a 2 minute walk away. You can always order a taxi to get around (our welcome pack contains cab firm contact details) or, if you’re driving, you can use the free parking that’s near to the apartment.

The Crewe Short Lets apartments are all located in the Victoria Court development, just west of Crewe town centre. Here’s a selection of things to do and places to see during your stay, all of which are within easy reach of the apartments:

ENTERTAINMENT

Lyceum Theatre – the venue attracts big name stars from across the UK, and it’s the location of the annual pantomime. If you have tickets, staying in a Crewe Short Stays apartment makes getting to your seat and back really easy.

Alton Towers – one of the UK’s biggest and most popular theme parks is easily reached from Crewe by road in just under an hour (it’s only 30 miles away).

Alexandra Stadium – the home of Crewe Alexandra FC. If you have tickets for a match, or another event being held here, staying at Victoria Court is a great option.

Rookery Hall and Crewe Hall – These are popular wedding and party venues in the local area.

The Odeon Cinema – is a great place to grab some popcorn and a comfy seat to watch the latest movies.

Crewe Leisure Centre – here’s a new leisure hub for the local area, featuring a swimming pool, gym, meeting rooms, cafes and more.

RELAXATION

Queen’s Park – enjoy a leisurely or brisk walk or even a jog through a park with a picturesque lake and extensive grounds.

Wychwood Park Golf Course – if you’re planning a round or two of golf in Crewe with friends, this championship-standard 18-hole course is a great location to test your golfing skills.

Bridgemere Garden Centre – check out one of the UK’s largest garden centres with a wide range of products to suit the smallest balconies and patios right up to the largest back yards and gardens.

Crewe town centre – This popular retail hub features all you’d expect from a major town, including shops and coffee shops, bars and restaurants aplenty. There are also supermarkets and convenience stores in which to buy your favourite foods and stock-up the fridge freezer and cabinets in the kitchen back at your Crewe serviced apartment.

The Grand Junction – a retail park that’s a great place to meet and eat with high street stores such as Next and M&S, alongside a range of restaurants to suit all tastes.

HISTORY

The Secret Bunker – OK, it’s not so secret anymore, now that this declassified nuclear bunker is open to visitors. But it does give you a great opportunity to step inside an underground world that was earmarked as a centre of command in the event of a nuclear attack back in the 20th Century.

The Heritage Museum – a town that’s as famed for its railway as Crewe needs a museum celebrating the history of trains in this part of the world, and is well worth a visit.

Dagfields – if antiques are your thing, these halls could well turn out to be a real treasure trove of curiosities and discoveries.

Nantwich Museum – the history of Nantwich extends back to Roman times as many of the displays in this excellent museum prove

Ellesmere Port Boat Museum – see Britain’s canal history come back to life with exhibitions in a historic dock location.

The apartments are just a 5 minute drive from Crewe railway station (1.2 miles) which is a major junction on the UK railway network. As a result, you’ll find services to many of England’s major cities stop here, including those that serve London, Manchester, Birmingham and Liverpool, as well as Chester and The Potteries.
